Her name was Pema, meaning "Lotus"
Tibetan, she left In the early 60's her annexed country and took the road of the exile towards India. At that time, nearly 85000 Tibetans did the same.
She lived in one of the villages of Tibetan refugees in Mainpat, Chhattisgarh State, 250 km South of Varanasi. With other old Tibetan people, her life was taking place between a small room, and a shared space, used to hold meetings, and daily, regularly, as a praying room. Around, people taking care of her until the term of her life.
Despite the harshness of life, in her eyes - as well as in the sight of other aged Tibetans in the village -, one could feel the recognition of what had been given to her; kindness; and the expression of a deep serenity.
The way she was taking your hands in hers witnessed it.
Met in february 2018, Pema passed away a few weeks later, aged 92.
