Kyauktan, the Mid-Stream Pagoda

Boats sail non stop during the day, ferrying between Kyauktan village and the "Midstream Paya", one hundred meters from the shore.

Outside, along the river, people participate in the widespread tradition of feeding fishes.

Inside, despite the number of pilgrims, the atmosphere is peaceful.

Most of those who have come hold in hands their specific offerings. Often flowers, "Shwe Pan" or "Gold Flowers".
