Myanmar, Yangon, in Shwe Da Gon, by night.
Shwe Da Gon is a magnificent place.
Magnificent because of the sacred site itself, the imposing character of the main stupa, together with the perfection of its shape......
And because of the people who come there, from dawn to early night.
Most of them go down the monumental stairways just after dusk. Then, a specific atmosphere can be felt, when the night has come.
Much less people have stayed. Essentially Myanmar people, to meditate in front of one of the many small stupas around.
Or gathering in groups of a few tens, to recitate writings in chanting.
A woman, a little girl, sitting close each other, inside a pavillion in front of the main stupa: they have chosen to remain there, silent, praying.
