Touareg Chief and his descendant

Niger, West of Aïr mountains, 45 km South of the Anou Makaren, and 100 km North West of Agadez City. January 1980.

Out of sight, a plain, a desert of small stones. No relief, just a small hill a few meters above the average height, called Sekhiret.

This is where Touareg tribes coming from the surroundings and from the Aïr mountains gather, to celebrate Mouloud, the birth of the Prophet.
